Taking Duration Data

What is Duration Data and how to record it in the mobile app.

Duration data measures the length of time a behavior occurs. This is collected by recording the start and end time of the behavior and calculating the total time the behavior lasted.

Duration is often used for behaviors that have a clear beginning and end but are not discrete events, such as staying seated or engaging in conversation.

1. (i) icon to read the target instructions

2. 'Play' to start the timer / the observation period.

3. 'Pause' for interruptions

4. 'End Trial' to stop the observation period.

5. 'Record Zero' if patient participated in the task for no time.

6. once first trial is complete, 'Start New Trial' to run another trial.
